The College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC

As of June 28, 2024, the newly formed College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC) amalgamates the regulation of professional Chiropractors, Massage Therapists, Naturopathic Physicians, and Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists in the province of British Columbia to ensure they have the competencies needed to practice and ensure they adhere to the standards required for safe and ethical care.

This amalgamation is part of the Ministry of Health’s multi-year initiative to modernize BC’s health profession regulatory framework and aims to provide the public and professionals with:

  • A central point of contact about the health professionals the college regulates.
  • Enhanced public protection by creating greater consistency in how these health professions are regulated.
  • Increased efficiency and effectiveness with greater access to resources and expertise.
