Insurance Corporation of BC (ICBC)
Effective April 1, 2020, the table below shows the updated treatment fees that ICBC will cover for care and treatment after a crash as outlined in the Insurance (Vehicle) Act.

Fee table

Initial visit* $109.00 (billable once) as outlined in the Insurance (Vehicle) Regulation
Standard treatment $82.00 per treatment as outlined in the Insurance (Vehicle) Regulation
Pre-authorized number of treatments 12 (within 12 weeks of the accident causing the injury) as outlined in the Insurance (Vehicle) Regulation

These fees apply to all treatments administered on or after April 1, 2020, regardless of the date of the accident that caused the injury. The fee table does not include taxes.

*The initial visit fee includes the assessment and standard treatment provided that day. A standard treatment is not to be charged for the date the initial visit took place.

Notes

  • ICBC customers who choose to visit a therapist that charges a higher rate than what ICBC funds under accident benefits (indicated above) will be responsible for paying the user fee portion, which they may submit to their private health insurer for consideration of coverage.
  • Treatment frequency will be based on clinical recommendations. Multiple sessions provided by the same discipline, on the same day, will not be funded.
  • ICBC will not pay for no-show appointments.

*Please inform me of your ICBC claim, and provide your claim number and adjuster’s contact info.

Premium Assistance – Medical Service Plan (low income MSP)
I am an opted-out practitioner; this means you must pay the full amount of the service booked, but I can submit the MSP claim for you. MSP will reimburse you $23 per visit for a combined annual limit of 10 visits each calendar year including: massage therapy, chiropractic, physiotherapy, naturopathy, and non-surgical podiatry.

*Please provide your Personal Health Number, date of birth, and current address.
