Insurance

I am an opted-out practitioner; clients will be charged the full amount and are responsible for claiming reimbursement from their insurance company. A receipt will be issued on the date of the appointment (I cannot post-date receipts), and only the name of the person for whom treatment was provided will appear on the receipt.

Extended Health Plans
Check your plan’s policy regarding a physician’s referral requirement. Some plans cover up to 100% of your massage treatments. Contact your insurance company to find out how much you could be saving.

Insurance Corporation of BC (ICBC)
Massage therapy is automatically approved for a claimant injured in a motor vehicle accident (MVA). A patient can receive massage therapy any time after an MVA, provided the claim is still open. A physician’s referral is not necessary for the first 12 treatments; ICBC is regulated to pay a minimum 12 treatments but has the discretion to authorize further therapy (up to 20 treatments). A request for more than 12 treatments is given if further therapy is recommended by a physician, and the treatments are deemed to be reasonable and necessary.

*Please inform reception of your ICBC claim, and provide your claim number at your appointment.

Premium Assistance – Medical Service Plan (low income MSP)
A physician’s referral is not necessary. MSP will reimburse you $23 per visit for a combined annual limit of 10 visits each calendar year including: massage therapy, chiropractic, physiotherapy, naturopathy, and non-surgical podiatry.

*Please inform reception that you would like to use your MSP coverage, and provide your Care Card at your appointment.

Student Health Plan (Blue Cross)
Student Health Plan members must present valid student ID at reception to receive Network rates (HST included): 30 min. massage at $34, 45 min. massage at $48, 60 min. massage at $62. Please note that you need a physician’s referral to claim reimbursement.

*Please let reception know that you are a Student Health Plan member, and request your appointment specifically with me, otherwise regular rates will apply.
